Film-Makers' Coop Catalog
A fragmented visual journal filmed across California.
Working between home movie, landscape study, and docu-fiction, the film assembles images of family rupture, exile, animal companionship, and unstable memory. A fictional device enters the film as an apparition: part portal, part witness, part failed protection against disappearance.
The film was developed over six months as a study of displacement and belonging, holding melancholy and gratitude in the same frame.
Music composed by Ella Zwietnig.
